About the Role:
Our Internship Program offers meaningful work in a FORTUNE 500 company within the Financial Services industry. Advice & Wealth Management works toward providing a best-in-class client and advisor experience, while also making sure our products and services create a competitive advantage for Ameriprise. Departments include Wealth Management Solutions, Banking & Cash Solutions and Supervision & Risk Mitigation.

Depending on assigned projects and business needs, responsibilities may include:

  • Identifyingopportunities to improve existing processes and recommending solutions that enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall stakeholder experience.

  • Developing,maintaining, and delivering business reporting, dashboards, and analytical insights to support decision-making.

  • Tracking project milestones, risks, and issues, and partnering with stakeholders tofacilitatetimelyresolution.

  • Conducting market and competitiveresearch andpresenting findings and recommendations to business leaders.

  • Supporting the development and enhancement of internal reporting capabilities through data analysis, documentation, and process improvements.

  • Evaluating client- and advisor-facing programs byanalyzingperformance metrics, assessing effectiveness, andidentifyingopportunities for optimization.

  • Assistingwith annual product due diligence activities, including researching platform offerings,validatingadherence toestablishedstandards, and preparing materials for product committee review and approval.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional partners to gather requirements,analyzebusiness challenges, and support strategic initiatives.

  • Preparing presentations, executive summaries, and recommendations for leadership audiences.

  • Participating in special projects that provide exposure to business strategy, operations, analytics, product management, and organizational planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current junior pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university inFinance, Business Management, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.

  • Expected graduation date betweenDecember 2027 and Spring 2028.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience through academic, professional, athletic, volunteer, or extracurricular activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High levelof self-motivation, initiative, and accountability, with a strong commitment to integrity and ethical decision-making.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and build constructive working relationships.

  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute to business outcomes.

  • Experience leading projects, teams, student organizations, or community initiatives is a plus.

The company does not offer corporate undergraduate internships for students with F-1 visas.

In-Office Collaboration

We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing,productivityand personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders - clients, advisors,employeesand shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Some roles may requireadditionalin-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process

Base Pay Salary

The estimated hourly salary range for this role is $28.50. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
