Small Business Bank - Senior Manager, Project Manager

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Project Manager to join our Small Business Bank team at Capital One. In this role, you will be responsible for managing projects that improve business efficiency and drive results. You will deliver flawlessly executed standards and controls for critical business projects in a well-managed way. Your role will be equal parts coach, visionary, and problem solver, and you will be responsible for leading a high-impact team, co-creating a vision for the future, gaining broad stakeholder alignment, and guiding cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional value while knocking down all the things that slow us down.

General Responsibilities:
  • Quickly putting structure into place to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Partnering cross-functionally to effectively drive delivery of moderate to large complex projects, leveraging strong problem solving and influencing skills
  • Providing strategic and tactical thought partnership and revising needs to meet changing requirements
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk
  • Interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage projects and expectations
  • Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes while providing expertise on processes when representing the department
  • Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Analyzing, identifying, and mitigating data issues
  • Driving the creation of data tools to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or Military Experience
  • At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 2 years of Process Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 7 years of Project Management experience
  • At least 3 years of Process Management experience
  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

This role is hybrid meaning associates spend 3 days per week in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are in-person days for associates to spend time together working in our beautifully-designed team areas.

McLean, VA: $177,700 - $202,800 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr Manager, Project Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidateโ€™s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
