Job Opportunity
Position Overview
This position offers a generally set schedule of 5 days per week, with the possibility of including 1 weekend day. The responsibility includes working with EMR - Epic starting November 1, 2025. All candidates must possess an active State of Hawaii license by the start of the assignment. Additionally, acute care experience is required, specifically in conducting Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS) in radiology without supervision.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Modified Barium Swallow Studies independently and proficiently.
  • Document procedures utilizing Meditech computerized documentation for inpatient and paper documentation for outpatient care.
  • Engage in rehabilitation in an acute setting alongside potential referrals for outpatient care.
  • Float to other units or departments, and potentially to another facility as staffing and census dictate.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or rehabilitation hospital settings.
  • Current Hawaii rehabilitation licensure in the appropriate discipline.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Ability to complete MBS studies independently without supervision.

Work Environment
The position includes a mixture of inpatient and outpatient documentation practices, utilizing both computerized and traditional methods. Employees are expected to arrive the Thursday before their start date to attend a health appointment on Friday.

Scrubs or per the facility's dress code policies.
Additional Information
Ptraining in EMR documentation will be provided along with an orientation session to familiarize new hires with rehab area expectations.
