What Are the Qualifications to Get an SLP Internship?
The primary qualifications for an SLP internship are enrollment in a master's program and demonstrated success working with students from a variety of backgrounds. Since this is an internship, you do not need a state license or any professional experience. Fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of an SLP internship requires communication skills and the ability to prepare reports and progress notes as needed. Some colleges and universities have additional requirements for internships, such as a certain GPA or completing particular classes.
