Towne U.S. LLC is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for a travel job in Anchorage, Alaska.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based therapy team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services that support students' communication, learning, and participation in the educational environment.

This is a full-time school-based opportunity extending through the end of the 2027 school year. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with students, communicates effectively with educators and families, and is committed to helping students achieve their individual communication and educational goals.

Position Details

Responsibilities
  • Provide speech and language therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Implement individualized treatment activities designed to address students' communication needs and established therapy goals
  • Work with students individually or in small groups as directed by the supervising SLP
  • Support students with articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and other appropriate speech and language needs
  • Monitor student participation and progress and communicate observations to the supervising SLP
  • Assist with maintaining accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school administrators, families, and other members of the educational team
  • Reinforce communication strategies and therapeutic activities within the classroom and school environment
  • Assist with preparation of therapy materials and activities
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and student-centered therapy environment
  • Follow all applicable school district policies, professional standards, and supervision requirements
Requirements
  • Required: Active Alaska Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (AK SLPA) license/credential
  • Completion of an approved Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or applicable educational requirements
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, families, and multidisciplinary school teams
  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience is preferred
  • Commitment to supporting students' communication, educational, and developmental success
