Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School-Based AssignmentPosition Overview
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) provides essential support to licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in the delivery of speech and language services within a school-based setting. The SLPA will assist with clinical, instructional, and documentation-related activities in accordance with established plans of care and under the direct supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and/or physician.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by the supervising SLP
- Assist in the execution of individualized treatment plans
- Support student progress through structured clinical and educational activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
- Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as professional standards of practice
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited SLPA program or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised clinical or fieldwork experience (or state-equivalent requirement)
- Active and unrestricted Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license/certification in the state of practice
- Demonstrated compliance with professional standards and ethical guidelines
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of professional SLPA experience
Health & Compliance Requirements
- Completion of TB screening (PPD, questionnaire, or chest X-ray, as applicable)
- Current health certification in accordance with state or contract requirements
- Full compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations
Assignment Details

- Start Date: August 17, 2026
- Duration: 9 months
- Schedule: 35 hours per week
Compensation
- Local Rate: $40.00 per hour
