Job Description:
About the Role:
The Blender position is responsible for receiving, blending, and preparing raw tea materials to support production operations. This role ensures blends are produced accurately according to specifications while maintaining product quality, lot integrity, and inventory accuracy in a safe and efficient manner. You will be performing the following tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Operates forklift, pallet jack and hoist to successfully run the bag slitting equipment to blend and process tea for the production lines.
  • Checks and completes tea blend paperwork to verify the accuracy of each component.
  • Repairs and tapes damaged bags of tea.
  • Manually dumps tea as needed.
  • Operates both North and South tea blending systems according to instructions.
  • Moves tea hoppers to appropriate machine lines for production.
  • Verifies correct blend is placed in the right location for each line.
  • Completes rework activity as needed.
  • Assists in other areas of Blending, Warehouse or Production as needed.

Important Details:
  • This is a full-time permanent role on 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays. Overtime may be available, depending on the needs of the business. The anticipated starting wage rate for this position is $20.95-$22.40 per hour plus $0.60 shift differential.

You'll fit right in if you have:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED, plus 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the flexibility to adapt to daily production needs and changes.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift is preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to tolerate noise associated with production equipment and changing weather conditions (heat/cold/humidity).
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment including company uniforms, hearing and eye protection.
  • Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day to monitor production.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
