Sleep opening in VirginiaHampton, VAFull time Sleep Medicine Physician (Medical Director - Sleep Lab) Outpatient-only sleep medicine practice with a flexible hybrid 5-day workweek Step into a leadership role as Medical Director of the Sleep Lab High patient demand with a strong, established referral base (booking months in advance) See an average of 16-20 patients per day Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including primary care, pulmonology, neurology, and psychiatry Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of adult sleep disorders (e.g., sleep apnea, insomnia, narcolepsy, parasomnias, restless leg syndrome) Interpret sleep studies including polysomnography, MSLT, and HSAT Develop individualized treatment plans using CPAP/BiPAP therapy, behavioral interventions, and pharmacologic management Engage in patient education, sleep hygiene counseling, and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications Board Certified in Sleep Medicine (ABIM) Active and unrestricted medical license (Virginia and North Carolina) Fellowship training in Sleep Medicine preferred Expertise in sleep disorder diagnosis, sleep study interpretation, and therapy management Core Competencies Sleep disorder diagnosis and management Polysomnography and HSAT interpretation CPAP/BiPAP therapy initiation and monitoring Multidisciplinary collaboration Patient and family education Clinical documentation (EHR) Quality improvement and continuing education Location & Lifestyle Coastal Virginia community with close proximity to major metropolitan and beach areas Rich history, cultural attractions, and access to outdoor recreation Convenient access to nearby cities within 20-30 minutes
