We are seeking a Labor & Trust / SLED Sales Director to lead growth across organized labor (Taft-Hartley and SLED (State, Local, and Education) markets. This is a full-cycle, strategic sales role responsible for expanding Spring Health's footprint with union-affiliated benefit funds, government entities, and education systems. This individual will drive new business by engaging trustees, union leadership, public sector decision-makers, and procurement stakeholders, positioning Spring Health as a trusted partner in delivering high-quality, accessible mental healthcare to working families, public servants, and educators. This is a full-time, remote position reporting to the VP, Public Sector, with ~30% travel for client engagement and industry events.

What you'll do:

  • Own the full sales cycle across Labor & Trust, and SLED segments—from pipeline generation through contract execution
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy that targets:
    • Taft-Hartley funds and union-sponsored benefit plans
    • State and local government agencies
    • Public education systems (K-12 and higher ed)
  • Partner cross-functionally with BDRs, Strategic Alliances, proposal ops, channel partners, and public sector contracting teams to source and close opportunities
  • Build direct relationships with trustees, benefits administrators, union leadership, HR leaders, and public sector procurement officials
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including RFPs, RFIs, and public procurement processes
  • Lead consultative sales engagements, aligning Spring Health's solutions to clinical, financial, and population health outcomes
  • Deliver executive-level presentations, demos, and ROI analyses tailored to:
    • Union member populations
    • Government workforce needs
    • Budgetary and compliance constraints
  • Develop business cases and pricing structures aligned with:
    • Trust governance models
    • Public sector budgeting cycles
    • Grant or appropriated funding mechanisms
  • Represent Spring Health at labor conferences, public sector events, and industry forums
  • Provide market feedback to Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine our Labor & Public Sector go-to-market strategy

What success looks like in this role:

  • Consistently achieving and exceeding quota across Labor & Trust, and SLED segments

What you'll bring:

  • 8+ years of enterprise sales experience, including:
    • At least 5 years selling into Labor & Trust (Taft-Hartley), SLED, or public sector environments
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Union benefit structures and trust governance
    • Public sector procurement processes (RFPs, contracts, compliance)
    • Budget cycles and funding mechanisms across SLED
  • Proven track record of closing 6-figure+ enterprise deals in complex, regulated environments
  • Experience navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making, including boards, trustees, and government officials
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to operate with an entrepreneurial, territory-owner mindset in an emerging segment
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to engage diverse, mission-driven stakeholders
  • Passion for improving mental health access for working populations and public servants
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

The target base salary for this position is $165,000 - $190,500 and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
