Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date.
Job Summary
  1. Support and aid the Course Coordinator in teaching classes to facilitate student learning.
  2. Adhere to current course outlines and/or syllabi.
  3. Demonstrate a depth of understanding in the field of Emergency Medical Services at the Basic Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic level.
  4. Attend required training and department meetings, as invited.
  5. Demonstrate and support professional commitment to division, School, and College mission and values.
  6. Maintain a supportive attitude toward work, students, colleagues, and administration.
  7. Support College policies.
  8. Other job related duties as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
  1. Becomes familiar with, and abides by, all college policies with immediate priority given to those policies that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments throughout the organization
  2. Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
  3. Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment
  4. Maintains professional and collegial behavior
  5. Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and/or College procedure
  6. Completes all required employee trainings
  7. Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines
  8. Provides ADA accommodations as requested
  9. Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications
1. Basic Emergency Medical Technician or higher level of certification, currently certified by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
2. Two (2) years non-teaching full-time (or full-time equivalent) work experience in Emergency Medical Services as a certified Basic Emergency Medical Technician, Advanced Emergency Medical Technician, or Paramedic level.
3. Knowledge and experience in Emergency Medical Services.
4. Currently certified as an EMS Instructor by the Utah Bureau of Emergency Medical Services.
