Job description

WHERE MODERN DESIGN BEGAN
Over forty years ago, Cantoni opened its first showroom with a single obsession: to bring the style, quality, and bold design of European furnishings to the United States. From Los Angeles to Washington DC-and every skyline in between-our showrooms have become coveted destinations where visionary architects, interior designers, tastemakers, and discerning consumers discover modern living at its most elevated.
Our highly curated collection spans over 300 of the finest European brands, bespoke Italian kitchens, and custom closet systems-all delivered with the concierge precision that made Cantoni the benchmark of contemporary luxury in the United States.
And yet, one thing hasn't changed: our belief that the most enduring design businesses are built one transformative relationship at a time-by entrepreneurial designers who treat every project like a legacy, not a transaction.
WHO YOU ARE
You are not just a designer.
You are a tastemaker, a luxury brand connoisseur, a design guide, and an aesthetic visionary. A trusted partner to the most discerning clients who expect not only design expertise, but an elevated, personal, and world-class experience.
You are an entrepreneur and relationship builder, developing and maintaining a curated network of business through purposeful interactions, referral generation and consistent, memorable service.
You lead confidently with vision and sell and close with deep conviction. You design holistically, with human-centric precision and present your work with passion. You transform inspiration into reality- spaces that tell a story.
You see every design project as a blank canvas and every conversation as the beginning of a transformative, creative journey.
YOUR ROLE
As a Cantoni Luxury Interior Designer, you will lead clients through a fully bespoke, concierge-level design journey from concept to completion. You will deliver high-performance interiors that reflect both extraordinary vision and enduring value-all while operating within the infrastructure of one of the most iconic and respected design houses in the country.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and execute full-scope interior design projects including concept development, space planning, product and finish selections, visual presentations, and white-glove installation.
  • Discover and determine each client's design objectives, vision, values and translate them into highly curated, functional and beautiful spaces, reflecting Cantoni's standard of luxury living.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly revenue goals through proactive client development, converting walk-in clients to full-scope design projects, and fostering on-going client relationships.
  • Create compelling design presentations addressing location, architecture, material palettes and color stories, renderings, and physical samples that tell a clear and sophisticated story.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Design leadership, showroom leaders, visual merchandisers, marketing teams, and vendor partners to enhance showroom engagement and product integration.
  • Stay at the forefront of global design, fashion, hospitality and luxury trends and translate them into timeless, tasteful, and contextually relevant design solutions for your clientele.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ years of interior design experience in a design firm or luxury retail setting
  • A compelling portfolio that showcases full-room or full-home residential work
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or comparable design and rendering tools
  • Exceptional aesthetic sensibility, personal polish, and brand alignment
  • Confidence in client engagement, storytelling, and closing high-value projects
  • A deep passion for luxury interiors, global design trends, and high-performance living
