Job description

Hatchery Sanitation 

Full Time - Hourly

At Hormel Foods, base pay is one part of our total compensation package.  The base hiring pay for this role is $20.85 per hour

  • Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. 
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Job Responsibilities 

  • Load Trays, baskets, boxes and equipment in washer
  • Ensure all hatching equipment is 100% free of debris
  • Drain and fill water in tanks twice a day
  • Scrub and disinfect all carts used to move eggs and poults
  • Complete sanitation of the wash room at the end of each day
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to abide by strict bio-security guidelines
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to grasp and pinch repeatedly with both hands, hand coordination to rotate wrists and manipulate poults with fingers and thumb of both hands
  • Be able to work in a moderately dusty environment continuously
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
