Job description

Sletten Construction is looking for Skilled Laborers to support current construction projects in the state of Wyoming. The Skilled Laborer is responsible for assisting the construction team by performing tasks involving physical labor. Laborers may operate hand and power tools during construction projects. This is a position for a laborer that has experience in commercial construction. This role is pivotal to completing projects on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and preparing sites for construction
  • Assist with interior demolition of grid ceilings
  • Assist with drywall demolition and installation
  • Assist with casework demolition and installation
  • Assist with steel stud framing
  • Clean-up of site after construction
  • Assist other craft workers as needed
  • Must work quickly, productively, and safely without error and consistently meet the production goals as set by the Foreman, Superintendent, or Project Manager.
  • Must consistently produce quality workmanship as judged by company standards
  • Must comply with all company safety and personnel policies

Qualifications

  • Must have own transportation
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Must be over 18
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and carry 80 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and jobsite in order to complete work.
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry is preferred
