THE SKATESIDE is one of Southern California's largest youth skateboarding and roller skating programs. Since 2015, we have helped thousands of children build confidence, character, and life skills through skateboarding.

Position Overview
THE SKATESIDE is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable individuals to join our Summer Camp team in Glendale / Crescenta Valley.
As a Summer Camp Counselor, you will work directly with children in a fun, structured, and supportive environment while helping campers improve their skateboarding skills and confidence.
We're looking for individuals who enjoy working with kids, love being active, and want to make a positive impact in their community.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise campers throughout daily activities
  • Assist coaches with skateboarding instruction
  • Ensure all campers follow safety guidelines
  • Encourage participation and positive behavior
  • Help with camp setup and breakdown
  • Support beginner skaters as they learn new skills
  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and fun environment
  • Communicate professionally with staff and families
Qualifications
  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Skateboarding experience is preferred but not required
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Positive attitude and strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working outdoors
  • Able to stay active throughout the shift
