The Security Site Supervisor directs the Security Team Members to helpmaintain overall security of client facility by enforcing access control; observing, correcting, and reporting violations of client's rules and regulations; performing proactive security patrols. Further duties include responding to emergency situations, completing required reports; and performing other duties as required by the client and Sizemore Security Services. The Site Commander reports directly to the Vice President of Security for Sizemore, Inc.

Education:High School diploma or GED required. Two-year associate degree or higher desired.

Experience:Should have at least 5 years of security or law enforcement supervisory experience.

Licensure / Certification:Security Site Supervisor must meet or exceed the requirements of state regulated agencies.

Essential Job Functions / Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age and be mature.
  • Have no convictions for any felony offense.
  • Have no misdemeanor convictions for any crimes of moral turpitude.
  • Have dependable transportation.
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds without restriction.
  • Must maintain satisfactory physical fitness standards throughout the term of assignment.
  • Be able to physically restrain an individual in situations when an arrest must be made or when directed to do so.
  • Have normal hearing and eyesight. Must possess full color vision.
  • Will normally work the dayshift, Monday through Friday; however, will be required to make unannounced visits to all other shifts for the purpose of Security Team quality control and may be required to work a second or third or weekend shift when a suitable replacement is not available.
  • Have no fear or phobia that would prevent full performance of duties. (i.e., fear of heights, etc.)
  • Be willing to participate in or conduct training sessions and meetings when scheduled.
  • Be able to work in harmony with others.
  • Must possess good problem-solving skills.
  • Successfully complete all initial training, site-specific training, and in-service training.
  • Read and comprehend policies and procedures / rules and regulations written or spoken in English.
  • Communicate utilizing the English language and interface effectively in a pleasant "customer service" tone with personnel authorized to be upon the client's location.
  • Possess patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm; as well as diplomacy and professionalism when dealing with any person in the work environment under all circumstances.
  • Operate communication equipment that could include hard wired or cellular telephone systems, two-way radios, paging systems.
  • Controls vehicle and personnel access in accordance with established procedures.
  • Performs walking security, fire prevention and safety patrols. Long periods of standing and walking are to be anticipated.
  • Responds to emergency situations in accordance with established procedures.
  • Runs for short distances in response to emergency situations.
  • Follows established procedures to obtain external emergency support from law enforcement, fire and medical support agencies when needed.
  • Prepares and presents oral and written reports.
  • Adheres to all safety requirements of client and Sizemore, including, but not limited to, wearing personal protective equipment (gowns, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
  • Operates specialized equipment when trained and authorized (i.e., Closed-Circuit Television Systems, computer systems, etc.)

  • Monitor / Operate CCTV
  • Monitor / Operate and respond to two-way radios, emergency telephones, fire enunciator system, call boxes and equipment alarms.
  • Procedures for opening gates and doors for authorized personnel
  • Ability to prioritize calls for assistance.
  • Building(s) lockdown procedures
  • Methods for completing logs and reports.
  • Methods of enforcing parking and traffic policies
  • How to assist with disabled vehicles that must be towed.
  • How to assist motorists with vehicle problems
  • How and when Package Inspections are conducted
  • How to secure and document found property
  • How to perform a preliminary investigation of a criminal act
  • How to confront and detain a person suspected of a criminal act
  • How to conduct an initial interview of victim and witnesses
  • How to protect a crime scene
  • How to obtain assistance from the proper Sizemore management personnel when there is any question concerning actions to be taken.
  • Complete performance evaluations on all new Officers at the completion of their 90-day probationary period and annually thereafter.
  • Continuously review all security related Policies and Procedures to ensure the proper intent of the policy or procedure is achieved.
  • Present briefings and reports to staff leadership as required.
  • Maintain administrative / operational / training files.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by Sizemore.

Dress code:

Requires that all tattoos are not visible when wearing the prescribed uniform. Tattoos on the head, face, neck, or hands are not allowed. All facial piercings must be removed while on duty. Facial hair must be clean shaven (except for a mustache), and hair should be clean, neatly trimmed, and a natural color.
