Project Manager II

Location: Plantation, FL 33322 – 100% Onsite
Address: 1710 N University Blvd, Plantation, FL 33322
Pay Rate: $51/hr. on W2
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Duration: 6 months, with possible extension
Interview: 2 virtual interviews
Travel: None

Job Summary

We are looking for a Project Manager II to support hardware program management for ASTRO public safety radio products. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional teams and manage projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage hardware development projects from start to completion.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Track the critical path, milestones, risks, and project performance.
  • Coordinate with Software, Hardware, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Business, and external vendors.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular status updates.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Manage supply and material issues affecting production and new product introduction.
  • Ensure project goals, quality requirements, and business objectives are achieved.
  • Communicate project issues, decisions, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement using project management and Six Sigma methodologies.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of Project Management experience preferred based on intake requirements.
  • Experience with hardware development, telecommunications, radio communications, or aerospace/defense is preferred.
  • Strong project scheduling and critical path management experience.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and/or Smartsheet.
  • Proficiency with Google Apps.
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. Person and able to work without sponsorship.
  • Must be comfortable working 100% onsite in Plantation, FL.
