Sitecore Team Lead

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: Long Term 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Sitecore Team Lead with strong expertise in .NET and Sitecore architecture to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable digital solutions.

This role requires a blend of technical leadership, hands-on development, and stakeholder collaboration to deliver high-quality, enterprise-grade web applications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement multi-site, multilingual, and multi-channel solutions.

 • Define best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks/modules.

• Evaluate CMS platforms and recommend optimal solutions. Development & Customization

• Lead development of Sitecore templates, layouts, renderings, and component architecture.

 • Implement and customize solutions using Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA).

• Design and implement Sitecore pipeline customizations to extend and enhance platform    capabilities.

• Develop and manage complex workflows and content governance models.

• Utilize Unicorn/TDS for content serialization and environment consistency. Search & Performance Optimization

• Implement and optimize search using Solr/Coveo.

• Improve application performance, indexing strategies, and scalability. Integration & Deployment

 • Integrate Sitecore with third-party systems, APIs, and enterprise platforms.

• Work on CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using GitLab/Azure DevOps.

• Support application deployment and environment management. Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and design oversight to the team.

• Estimate effort, plan deliverables, and ensure quality and timely execution.

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and artifacts. Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Business Analysts, and Support teams.

 • Collaborate effectively with onsite and offshore teams to deliver seamless solutions.

• Drive development of user-centric and high-performance applications.

Required Skills & Expertise Core Technologies

• Strong experience in C#, MVC, Web API, and .NET ecosystem

• Hands-on experience in Sitecore (5+ years) with strong knowledge of: o Templates, Layouts, Pipelines o Content Delivery & Publishing o Workflows and Personalization

• Experience with SQL Server (queries, stored procedures, triggers, views)

• Experience with Azure PaaS / Sitecore Managed Cloud Frontend & Application Development

 • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX

• Exposure to modern frameworks (React / Angular / Core) is a plus

• Experience working with multi-tier and distributed architectures Search & Tools

• Experience with Solr/Coveo • Experience with Unicorn or TDS DevOps & Practices

• Experience with GitLab / Azure DevOps • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Strong understanding of SDLC and coding best practices

GOOD TO HAVE:

• Experience with Sitecore XM / XP / XM Cloud • Knowledge of Sitecore CDP and Personalize

• Exposure to Headless Sitecore (JSS, Next.js)

• Understanding of modern composable DXP architecture

EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years of experience in .NET development

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Sitecore

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s in computer science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
