A small, established design studio in Toronto that's known for detailed, high-craft work. This firm is growing quickly and operates with a high quality standard across their portfolio.

Why is this role open:

The studio is scaling and wants a senior operations leader to steady the day-to-day as it grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Run the studio's daily operations and keep projects, priorities, and people pointed in the same direction.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, handling them with professionalism and warmth.
  • Own the transition to a new software platform, from choosing the tools to rolling them out across the team.
  • Manage and coach the internal team, set clear expectations, and hold people accountable.
  • Work with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Review internal processes to spot the bottlenecks, and make improvements.
  • Stay ahead of problems and keep timelines, deliverables, and cross-team communication on track.

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years in senior operations, studio, or production management.
  • Comfortable choosing, implementing, and managing software platforms, project management tools, and data systems.
  • Strong people leadership, with the ability to direct a team and keep it accountable.
  • Clear, confident communicator with both staff and clients.
  • Hands-on experience building and managing budgets.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Background in a creative, design, or digital studio.
  • Experience leading a platform or software migration.

Work style: Fully on-site in Toronto. Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the occasional evening or weekend for industry events. Parking available on site.

Compensation: $85-95K
