Pay Range: $2,890.77 to $4,336.16
Actual pay will be based on various factors, such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, proficiency for the role, and internal equity. In addition to base pay, Kwik Trip gives 40% of pre-tax profits back to our coworkers with bonuses ranging from 8-12% of each coworker's gross annual wage depending on company profitability and offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401k, paid time off, and more.
Kwik Trip Inc. This individual will work closely with Kwik Trip's Store Engineering and Real Estate Departments in the developing, planning, and permitting for new retail locations. The person's primary responsibility will be obtaining the necessary information outlined in Kwik Trip's Planning Handbook for each new store so Kwik Trip can complete the design and bid process as well as the permitting and approval process.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Plan, administer, and coordinate multiple permitting and approval processes to facilitate the construction and real estate development.
  • Attends and represents Kwik Trip at public hearings and meetings.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Associate Architect or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant work experience; basic knowledge of commercial real estate development, site design, storm water, construction and landscape architecture; knowledge of local government organizations, zoning, and the functions and practices of municipal planning to ensure necessary permits are obtained; understanding of city, state, and federal laws and regulations pertaining to land use, construction and environmental impact to determine site viability; ability to speak and present at public meetings such as planning and city council meetings; ability to read and interpret site plans and surveys; ability to cross coordinate multiple design professionals.
Other qualifications include:
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD
  • Exercise sound judgment within company guidelines.
  • Prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.

Work Schedule: 45 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday with some evening meetings and overnights. Flexibility in schedule; including 1/2 days on Fridays.
Candidate must be willing to relocate or be in office 3 days a week.
