Apple is seeking an exceptional leader to helm our world-class Security Incident Response Team (SIRT) in the US. You'll operate across the entire organization; driving incident response initiatives, aligning with leadership, partnering with engineers, and coordinating with third parties. This role owns the growth, maturity, and day-to-day operations of the US team that leads Apple's response to its most critical security incidents.
Description
This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You will lead the US SIRT team in identifying, managing, and responding to security threats facing Apple. Together with your team, you'll continue to mature and evolve an incident response program built to protect Apple today, and scale with the challenges of tomorrow.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned, highly motivated leader who thrives on influence, embraces accountability, and is passionate about championing a strong security culture across the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience leveraging AI and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate and automate incident response workflows, including triage, investigation, and reporting
Leadership experience with demonstrated experience building, scaling, and leading high-performing information security teams
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of technical, hands-on experience in Information Security with a strong focus on Incident Response
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a proven ability to lead and align multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical risk and business impact to partners across legal, business, and executive levels
Deep expertise across Incident Response, Compliance, Threat Modeling, Purple Teaming, and Risk Mitigation
Exceptional analytical and investigative capabilities, including hands-on experience leading root cause analysis efforts
Solid foundation in Computer Science principles, with broad knowledge across computer networks, systems, and applications
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, equivalent degree, or relevant work experience
SIRT is an on-call team and this role will include night, weekend, early morning and holiday support
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $176,600 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
