Indoor Guest Services Associate

General Purpose:

The Indoor Guest Services Associate seeks to provide an excellent guest experience in the sales of Summer Activities, Retail Products, and Rentals.. This position will rotate through all areas of their role throughout the day making it a fun, fast paced, constantly changing shift! We are looking for people committed to providing a stellar guest experience, who are not afraid to embrace change, who love the mountains and strive to Give People the Freedom to Enjoy Purgatory!

Job Posting Deadline: This position will remain open until filled. Applicants will be reviewed on a rolling basis. You will have the opportunity to schedule a pre screening interview with the Human Resources team at the end of your application. 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:  

  • Sell summer activity passes using Siriusware POS.
  • Work in Purgatory Sports Retail on the Mountain selling merchandise
  • Inform Guest of all activities offered and costs associated with products 
  • Obtain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all product offerings.
  • Understand basic Siriusware troubleshooting to solve issues.
  • Aid guests in the understanding of various products in order to provide the best resort experience.
  • Familiarity with Purgatory Resort information: hours of operation, events, F&B outlets, etc.
  • Proper phone, radio, and email etiquette.
  • Assisting with lost and found
  • Assisting with daily locker rentals
  • Maintain an open mind and be willing to learn and adapt.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of resort procedures, policies, and safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with Purgatory Resort.
  • Basic knowledge of computer and cash handling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills. 
  • Maintain an open mind and be willing to learn and adapt.
  • Talking to guests the entirety of the shift.

Education and Experience: 

High School Diploma or GED is required. Must have reliable phone or internet connection for virtual interviews. Must possess an open mind and willingness to adapt. Previous guest service experience strongly preferred. Previous Ski Resort experience is strongly preferred but not required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. 

Working Environment/Physical Activities:

The vast majority of the day is spent indoors in a typical office/retail environment. Some time will be spent outside assisting guests. 70% of the day is spent being indoors, 15% of the day is spent standing, 15% of the day is spent outside. Occasionally exposure to loud volumes due to many guests speaking at once.
