CPI Card Group is a light manufacturing company producing contact and contactless payment cards for our customers. CPI offers a full suite of solutions and the expertise in plastics manufacturing, personalization and fulfillment to provide a completely customized card package. 

We are currently looking for a hard working production employee to join our Littleton, CO facility. We offer an extensive benefits package for our employees including health insurance, time off, 401(k) matching, and more!


Responsible for preparing, operating and maintaining a silk screen printing press to produce high-quality plastic secured card sheets and prepare them for final processing in the Finishing Department to ensure the production and timely delivery of high-quality plastic secured cards according to customer specifications and Company quality objectives.

Starting Rate: $23.80

Schedule: Friday - Sunday 4:00pm-4:30am


Responsibilities:  

  • Prepares screens from positive image plates
  • Mounts and adjusts screens on the press, mixes fountain solution and ink, adjusts press speed and pressure, inks the printing press, loads plastic card sheets and adjusts the press to the sheet size
  • Ensures card sheets and ink meet customer job specifications
  • Continually monitors and corrects any quality problems that may occur during the press run to minimize downtime and waste
  • Conducts routine quality check for any printing imperfections during each run 
  • Ensures completed product is staged in the area with appropriate job ticket information attached
  • Maintains an accurate record of all completed work using shop floor data system and/or manual forms as required
  • Completes required audit paperwork based on job stage
  • Complies with ISO 9001:2000 certification for all areas of responsibility
  • Ensures completed product is staged in the next work area with appropriate job ticket information attached
  • Keeps materials, supplies, product carts, and any other supplies need to be stocked in the department and notifies Silk Screen Lead or Print Manager of any inventory order needs
  • Maintains acceptable productivity, quality, service, spoilage, security and safety goals
  • Performs preventative maintenance, conducts minor repairs and reports any mechanical defects to Silk Screen Lead or Print Manager on equipment
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area
  • Follows all company procedures and rules
  • Follows all customer mandated security procedures and process requirements
  • Conducts self in a respectful and professional manner with a focus on teamwork, quality, and timeliness at all times

Requirements:   

  • High school education or equivalent with minimum 1-2 years of experience using silkscreen press and familiarity with printing ink and fountain solutions
  • Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to select and use appropriate equipment, supplies, and tools
  • Good math skills to be able to compute percentages, weights, and measures
  • Good detail and decision-making skills in order to set up equipment, check product quality and make adjustments to meet customer deadlines and requirements
  • Ability to follow/interpret written and oral instructions and specifications
  • Proficient communication skills including reading, writing and speaking in English
  • Ability to enter data into a PC using a keyboard
  • Must be security and safety-oriented
  • Must be reliable through good attendance, punctuality, and cooperation

Physical Demands: 

  • The environment is noisy and may require ear protection
  • Work is conducted in a standing position and requires walking, bending, stooping and lifting of materials up to 50 lbs
  • Work involves good eyesight, hand/eye coordination, and normal color vision to be able to ensure a quality product and maintain the safety
  • Work involves full use of hands/fingers in order to use precision or semi-precision equipment, tools or instruments requiring deft hand movements
  • Work involves dealing with fine detail, which can be tiring both mentally and physically
  • Works with rapidly moving machinery that may require quick adjustments to minimize waste
  • Work is conducted in shifts and may require overtime, including weekends, to meet deadlines
