Signs Night Patroller (Part-Time Evening Position)

Hiring for the following territories including but not limited to (* a territory is 30-60 mile radius from these cities):

  • Terre Haute
  • Lafayette
  • Brownsburg
  • Muncie
  • Crawfordsville

Perfect for Night Owls, Students, and Anyone Who Enjoys Driving

Huston Signs installs and maintains illuminated signs for businesses across Central Indiana. But here’s the challenge: you can’t see if a sign is working during the day. Signs only light up after dark — and that’s when outages become visible: That’s why we have our Night Patrol Team.

Our Night Patroller are the eyes of the night, driving assigned routes to identify sign or lighting outages so our team can help businesses stay bright, visible, and welcoming to their customers. Think of it as spotting problems before anyone else does.

Important: This is not a security position. Your role is simply to observe, document, and report sign and lighting outages through an app.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive assigned routes throughout Central Indiana
  • Visually scan businesses for sign or lighting outages
  • Take photos of signs and log them in our mobile app
  • Document what you see so our team can follow up

Schedule

This role is designed for evenings and flexible schedules.

  • Part-time (up to 19 hours per week)
  • Evening shifts beginning around dusk
  • Typical patrol window: hours may vary
  • Great fit for students, night owls, or anyone wanting extra evening income
  • Seasonal note:
    • During summer, shifts may start later as it gets dark later.

Pay

  • $17 per hour - paid weekly
  • $15 per shift gas stipend - paid monthly

Why People Enjoy This Job

  • Independent work (no boss riding along)
  • Great for people who enjoy driving
  • Flexible evening hours
  • A unique role that helps local businesses stay visible and successful
  • Perfect side job for students or night owls

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should:

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Have a reliable personal vehicle
  • Maintain valid auto insurance
  • Have a smartphone to use the patrol app
  • Be comfortable driving and observing signs at night
  • Pass a background check and drug screen

Why This Role Matters

Businesses rely on their signs to attract customers. When a sign goes dark, it can impact visibility and sales.

Our Night Patrol team helps us spot problems quickly so businesses can keep shining bright.

If you enjoy driving, like working independently, and want a flexible evening job, Night Patrol might be the perfect fit for you!!
