We are seeking a senior mixed signal design engineer to participate in the design and development of next-generation, high-performance phased array RF front-end systems for mission-critical, high-reliability applications in space-based communications. This role will be a key technical contributor and thought leader, driving system architecture from concept through qualification.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mixed signal circuit design. The candidate will also have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where innovation must align with real-world constraints.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement RF, analog, digital, and power circuits to be used in an active phased array.
  • Developing efficient power management solutions, such as DC/DC converters for high-performance, compact, or harsh environments
  • Work with systems engineering to define and decompose requirements into functional designs
  • Identification, consideration, and selection of suitable parts to be used on mixed-signal boards to conduct schematic capture
  • Perform circuit simulations analyses such as transient analyses and signal and power integrity
  • Lead system level analyses such as worst-case circuit analysis (WCCA) and failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA)
  • Work closely with layout engineers by providing guidance for matching and high-speed routings
  • Provide support for board bring up, test, and debugging

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of experience in RF, DC power and mixed signal design.
  • Experience with working with high frequency signals and high frequency circuit designs
  • In-depth knowledge on component selection
  • Experience with analyses such as simulation for noise analysis, AC, DC, and transient analysis, monte-carlo, and signal and power integrity
  • Experience with conducting worst case circuit analyses and failure modes, effects, and criticality analyses
  • Experience with design, simulation, and verification tools, such as HSpice, HyperLynx
  • Behavioral modeling of analog and digital circuits
  • Experience with Altium/Cadence OrCAD / Allegro (or similar tools) for schematic capture
  • Experience in bench level testing with strong debugging and analytical skills
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering roles designing mixed signal circuits and boards
  • Experience creating symbols and managing symbol libraries is a plus
  • Background in space- or flight-qualitied hardware
  • Experience with scripting for automation of circuit design verification
  • Experience with developing bench top test plans

Compensation Range for:

CA applicants is $156,802.00 - $219,522.45 WA applicants is $156,802.00 - $219,522.45
