Job Description

The purpose of this job is to:

  • Focus on diagnosing and repairing Exterior Signs & Lighting work orders. 
  • Identify potential and existing problems with electrical signage and lighting, provide analysis and investigation of issues, and determine the best solution for needed repairs (including but not limited to ballasts, lamps, sockets, switches, fixtures and involving voltages from 120 to 480 volts)3. Follow proper lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols when working on electrical or mechanical systems.  
  • Complete service appointments, accurately insert notes, and communicate with facility maintenance for all repairs and installs.
  • Ensure timely completion of service appointments.  
  • Respond to service requests; troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair based on warranty and industry standards. 
  • Communicate with the ESL supervisor and store management to report repair status.  8. Provide excellent customer service to team members onsite, interact in a professional, respectful manner and collaborate to meet project deadlines9. Complete same-day work order repair notes and forward to supervisor; ensure charge allocations are entered accordingly.  10. Monitor truck stock to ensure required parts are available.  
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, parts inventory, and uniforms in accordance with company standards.  
  • Perform routine testing and calibration of equipment to ensure optimal operation and compliance with standards. 
  • Ensure repairs, equipment, and work activities are performed in accordance with OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure that the jobsite is maintained to the highest standards of safety; prepare worksite, eliminate all possible hazards and cleanup site daily.
  • Maintain clean and organized maintenance workspaces and company vehicles. 
  • Provide support during emergency situations, such as power outages or safety incidents.  
  • Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level. 
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with safety rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Travel required less than 75%
  • OSHA30 certification
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
  • Minimum five years’ commercial electrical experience required; seven years’ experience preferred.
  • Electrical journeyman license preferred.
  • Minimum three years aerial lift and electrical experience at heights 60 to 80 feet required; five years’ experience preferred.
