Job description

Metro Services is seeking a full-time production specialist for a logistics company in Walton, IN. This is a Temp-to-hire. Apply now!

Duties for this position include:

  • This job requires continuous lifting in an outdoor setting. Please only apply if these circumstances fit what you are looking for ****
  • Perform Washer functions which include placing cylinders on conveyor belts, sorting, removing sleeves, and peeling labels
  • Dispatch cylinders to paint, fill, or rework stations
  • Complete Paint Line operations which include loading cylinders in the tank hanger, applying the paint bag applicator, and unloading the tank hanger
  • Operate Shot Blast, Tare weight entry station, Capper (data code label), and Stacker (palletizing)
  • Manually check for leaks, weight problems, or sleeve malfunctions.
  • Perform cylinder refurb operations based on workstation
  • Stack finished product
  • Check for quality assurance

Compensation (USD):

2nd Shift
$18.50/hour

Schedule:

2nd Shift
Monday - Thursday
6 p.m. - 4:30 a.m.

Some OT is required (ask for details)

Successful candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • Ability to work overtime, as required
  • Ability to understand basic technical instructions, both written and verbal.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
  • Applicants must not now, or at any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding labor in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds regularly throughout the shift
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening prior to first day of work
  • Must have no felony convictions
