Hiring: Project Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)
We are looking for a Project Engineer who has experience overseeing capital projects within a manufacturing setting. This position will support engineering efforts related to processing, packaging, and utility systems, managing projects from initial concept to final commissioning.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee capital projects (CAPEX) through all phases including planning, design, budgeting, execution, and completion.
Manage equipment upgrades, facility enhancements, and infrastructure initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Maintenance, Quality, Finance, R&D, and external vendors.
Support new product introductions, plant expansions, and process optimization.
Ensure adherence to safety, food safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Prepare technical specifications, project documentation, and engineering proposals.
Lead continuous improvement efforts and provide technical support to plant operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5+ years of Project Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing capital projects and plant engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with packaging, processing, utilities, and automation systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and financial control processes.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the Food & Beverage, Dairy, Consumer Goods, or Process Manufacturing industries.
Expertise with High-Speed Packaging Systems and Automation Controls.
Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, GMP, and 3-A Sanitary Standards.
Skills in Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
