Licensed Podiatrist

Woodbury, NJ

Contract Term: March 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027 (1 Year)

Work Arrangement: Onsite – Monthly scheduled visits + emergency availability

Licensed Podiatrist to provide routine and emergency podiatric care for residents. The Podiatrist will manage comprehensive foot and lower leg care, ensure timely documentation in the Sigma Care EHR system, and collaborate closely with the nursing and wound care teams. Services must meet all local, state, and federal regulations and be supported by consistent availability and direct communication with facility leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Services:

  • Provide monthly on-site podiatry care; each resident must be seen at least once per quarter.
  • Respond to emergency podiatric needs as required.
  • Collaborate with the Wound Care Practitioner for management of wounds from toes to knees.
  • Provide and label orthotics, splints, or braces with resident-specific information.

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Document all assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes using Sigma Care (EHR).
  • Notify the Director of Nursing regarding any service interruptions, absences, or provider substitutions.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal and state health care regulations.

Billing & Credentialing:

  • Maintain active NJ Podiatrist License and Malpractice Insurance throughout the contract term.
  • Responsible for direct billing to Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers.
  • No billing reimbursement will be provided by Gloucester County Improvement Authority (GCIA).
Required Qualifications:
  • Licensed Podiatrist in the State of New Jersey – Required
  • Active Malpractice Insurance – Required
  • Experience working in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities – Preferred
  • Proficiency in Sigma Care or other EHR systems – Preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage lower limb wound care in collaboration with nursing staff
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private pay billing
