Job description

Sierra Sunrise is an innovative, low-barrier, service enhanced emergency shelter serving Fresno County. Sierra Sunrise provides onsite mental health services, case management, peer support and housing navigation to support individuals who are experiencing homelessness.
Position Summary
The Housing Navigator assists with the housing search and placement along with leveraging supportive services that will assist the participant household to maintain permanent housing. The Housing Navigator is responsible for assisting the clients with gathering documentation needed to secure housing including income verification and identification. The Housing Navigator is responsible for data collection and data entry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordination of services for client
  • Gather documents needed to secure housing
  • Locate housing opportunities in the community
  • Maintain appropriate client files and complete documentation within the required timeframe
  • Advocate for client's voice and choice in housing process

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Understanding of the Coordinated Entry System preferred
  • 1 years experience in housing related social services
  • Clean driving record
