Social Media Specialist

Siemens EDA is looking for a creative social media and content creation specialist to join our global marketing team. This role focuses on the daily execution of our social media presence, translating technical software innovations into engaging posts, videos, and graphics. You will ensure our engineering success stories reach the right audience with a clear, professional, and creative tone.

We are looking for a creator who knows how to spot the hook in a technical whitepaper and put a fresh spin on engineering terminology. If you know how to make an engineer laugh while maintaining technical accuracy, you will be a great addition to the team.

Core responsibilities:
  • Content execution: Develop, plan, create and schedule content for the Siemens EDA and Siemens Software social media accounts.
  • Copywriting: Write clear, engaging social media copy that explains our engineering innovations to our followers.
  • Visual content creation: Produce high-quality graphics and short‑form videos for social platforms using Canva, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Platform coordination: Use Sprinklr to schedule global content, manage the digital asset library, and track performance metrics to help improve our social reach.
  • Audience research: Support the development of audience personas and messaging by researching industry trends and the interests of the semiconductor engineering community.
  • Performance reporting: Monitor social media metrics to track engagement, reach, and audience growth. You will provide regular reports and data‑driven suggestions to help optimize our social media strategy.
  • Community management: Manage daily community interactions by responding to comments and fostering conversations across our social channels.
  • Employee advocacy: Support our internal advocacy programs by providing employees with the content and tools they need to share Siemens stories with their own networks.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, social media, English, video production, or a related field and two years of experience
  • Strong technical communication and content creation skills
  • High attention to detail and ownership

The hourly range for this position is $40.38 to $72.69 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
