What You'll Do
- Provide high-quality care to critically ill ICU patients in a high-acuity unit
- Monitor and manage post-operative cardiac, transplant, and general ICU patients
- Administer medications, assist with invasive procedures, and utilize advanced monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond effectively to emergent situations, potentially being part of emergency response teams
- Document patient progress and updates accurately using Epic EMR system
- Support patient recovery following surgeries such as CABG, valve replacements, and transplants
What You Need
Required:
- Valid RN license in Louisiana or equivalent
- ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification
- ICU experience, preferably in SICU or CVICU settings
- Epic EMR experience
- Strong skills in post-op cardiac care, PA catheter management, and balloon pump care
Preferred:
- Experience with transplant recovery, continuous renal replacement therapy, and emergency procedures
