Job description

Company Description

Sia is a next-generation, global management consulting group. Founded in 1999, we were born digital. Today our strategy and management capabilities are augmented by data science, enhanced by creativity and driven by responsibility. We’re optimists for change and we help clients initiate, navigate and benefit from transformation. We believe optimism is a force multiplier, helping clients to mitigate downside and maximize opportunity. With expertise across a broad range of sectors and services, our 3,000 consultants serve clients worldwide from 48 locations in 19 countries. Our expertise delivers results. Our optimism transforms outcomes.

Sia’s Life Science and Healthcare Business Unit, Sia/LBG, focuses on supporting the life sciences and healthcare industries with strategic consulting, product development and non-dilutive funding expertise. This consulting division works with healthcare organizations, pharmaceutical & biotech companies, CROs, academia, medical device/diagnostic companies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) alike to solve complex business, scientific, regulatory, technological and product development challenges.  Our subject matter experts help advance our clients products and programs; supporting these companies—both large and small—to achieve organizational objectives and create tangible value for their stakeholders.

Job Description

Sia/LBG is seeking an experienced AI/Digital Project Manager / Scrum Master to support early-stage AI and digital initiatives across operational teams at a client’s manufacturing site. This role will help guide agile delivery for proof-of-concept and MVP projects involving emerging technologies involving AI-enabled tools.

As the AI/Digital Project Manager / Scrum Master, you will play a key role in helping our client advance early-stage AI and digital initiatives from concept through proof of concept and MVP delivery. You will work closely with site-based operations teams, product owners, technical and manufacturing teams, data specialists, cybersecurity, compliance, and business stakeholders to ensure new AI-enabled solutions are practical, well-prioritized, and aligned to real operational needs.

In this role, you will facilitate agile ways of working across AI and digital teams, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will help teams clarify priorities, define sprint goals, remove blockers, manage dependencies, and maintain momentum in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment. Your focus will be on enabling delivery rather than serving as the technical expert; while familiarity with a wide-range of AI tools is valuable, this is not a data scientist or AI engineering role.

You will help bridge the gap between operational teams and technical delivery teams, ensuring that AI proof-of-concepts and MVPs are grounded in real business problems and designed for adoption. As teams explore emerging AI capabilities, you will also promote awareness of important delivery considerations, including data availability, latency, compute constraints, model reliability, cybersecurity risks, and responsible use of AI. Through strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and agile leadership, you will help our client deliver AI and digital solutions that are structured, secure, and impactful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as Project Manager (Scrum Master) for AI and digital initiatives, facilitating agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Partner with product owners, technical teams, and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into clear priorities, sprint goals, and MVP deliverables.
  • Support early-stage AI proof-of-concept and MVP work
  • Help teams manage delivery risks, dependencies, blockers, and stakeholder expectations in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
  • Embed with local/site-based teams to ensure AI and digital solutions are practical, adopted, and aligned to real operational needs.
  • Coordinate across business, data, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, and governance teams to support responsible AI delivery.
  • Promote awareness of key AI delivery considerations, including data access, latency, compute constraints, cybersecurity risks, and model reliability.
  • Improve team ways of working by encouraging agile discipline, transparency, accountability, and continuous i
Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Digital Project Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and/or Kanban.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, technical teams, product owners, and leadership.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, early-stage project environments.
  • Ability to help teams move from concept to proof of concept to MVP.
  • Willingness and ability to work locally and closely with site-based teams.
  • Full-time, on-site availability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting AI, machine learning, data science, automation, or advanced analytics teams.
  • Experience working in a controlled/regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing, or operations.
  • Understanding of data governance, cybersecurity, AI risk, or responsible AI principles.
  • Experience helping teams adopt agile practices in environments where agile is still maturing.
  • Scrum certification such as CSM, PSM, SAFe Scrum Master, or similar.
