POSITION DESCRIPTION: This job requires that you learn and perform general mill plant operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Must have mechanical knowledge
• Must follow all safety procedures of Rose Acres and individual sights
• Must be able to climb
• Must be willing to work any time needed
• Needs to have personal tools
• Should be able to stick weld
• Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must be able to work with all managers
• Must be able to work in dusty conditions
• Must be willing to travel to different states to work on equipment
• Should have knowledge of how most mill equipment operates
• Knowledge of how to change bearings, gearboxes, work on conveyors, elevator legs, many other functions too numerous to mention.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Maintenance or mechanical ability helpful, but not necessary.
  • Able to lift up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Able to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
  • Willing to comply with all Rose Acre's safety, employment, and GMP policies including working in a 100% smoke-free environment.
  • Ability to comply with the strictest standards for animal welfare and to report incidents of abuse, neglect, or breach of bio-security in order to preserve the health and welfare of our birds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, and other environment specific atmospheres.
  • Must be willing and able to work past the scheduled leave time to complete the job, if needed.
  • Must possess the ability to work in an open office setting.
  • Must maintain professionalism with coworkers.
