Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tempe

Position Summary:

Join our team at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tempe as a Shuttle Driver, where your hospitality, professionalism, and safe driving skills will help create a memorable first and last impression for our guests. In this role, you will provide transportation services to and from nearby destinations, including Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, while delivering exceptional customer service that reflects the high standards of Holiday Inn Express and IHG Hotels & Resorts.

As one of the hotel's most visible team members, you will serve as an ambassador for our property, assisting guests with transportation, luggage, local recommendations, and general guest service needs. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, takes pride in providing outstanding service, and values safety and reliability.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the hotel shuttle van while transporting guests to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport to/from hotel property.
  • Provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience for all guests
  • Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading as needed
  • Maintain knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, businesses, and transportation options to assist guests
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly
  • Ensure the shuttle vehicle remains clean, presentable, fueled, and guest-ready at all times
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving standards
  • Communicate effectively with the Front Desk regarding guest transportation requests and shuttle schedules
  • Assist with guest service requests and light hotel duties during periods of low shuttle activity
  • Maintain accurate shuttle logs and required vehicle documentation
  • Respond courteously and professionally to guest questions, concerns, and special requests
  • Work collaboratively with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Maintenance teams to support overall hotel operations

Qualifications

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record required.
  • Previous shuttle driving, transportation, hotel, customer service, or hospitality experience strongly preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate a passenger van and navigate local roadways.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and assist with guest luggage up to 50 pounds.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working independently while maintaining excellent guest service standards.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check prior to employment.
  • Must be able to clear a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) with no findings.
