Key Responsibilities of a CDL Shuttle Driver:Passenger Transportation
  • Safely transport passengers along assigned routes and schedules
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and transportation regulations
  • Maintain dependable and timely route performance while prioritizing passenger safety
  • Monitor road, weather, and traffic conditions to ensure safe vehicle operation
  • Practice defensive driving techniques and maintain high safety standards
Customer Service & Passenger Assistance
  • Deliver courteous, professional, and respectful service to all passengers
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
  • Safely operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and other accessibility equipment
  • Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to established procedures

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance
  • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle appearance
  • Ensure vehicles are ready for daily operation
Compliance & Documentation
  • Complete required driver logs and transportation records accurately
  • Document incidents, accidents, and operational concerns when necessary
  • Maintain passenger counts and service records as required
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations
Qualifications of a CDL Shuttle Driver:
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) Endorsement
  • Strong commitment to passenger safety and safe driving practices
  • Clean driving record and professional driving history
  • Previous experience operating shuttle buses, transit vehicles, or passenger transportation vehicles preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements

Schedule

Split Shift

  • Morning Shift: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
  • Evening Shift: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Availability for both shifts is required.
