Job description

The Shuttle Driver evaluates and chooses bulk produce orders according to the pick sheet in preparation for delivery to the customer and delivers those orders to the customer.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Drives truck in a safe manner and in compliance with D.O.T. regulations.
  • Loads and unloads truck.
  • Makes local deliveries.
  • Inspects equipment daily to insure that it remains in safe and efficient working order.
  • Delivers product to customers as directed.
  • Spotting trucks for loading.
  • Maintains good working knowledge of product.
  • Completes required paperwork.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SCHEDULE:
Sunday-Thursday rotating Fridays 10:30pm-6:30 am
Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to display basic arithmetic skills. Two or more years' experience driving a truck.
TRAINING, SKILLS, LICENSES: Valid Class C License required. Class A or B Commercial Driver's License preferred but not required. 1 year of experience working in a warehouse, Electric Pallet Jack experience and/or Produce experience is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is frequently exposed to wet, loud, cold and/or humid conditions. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, and stoop, rotate or twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
