Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Field Millwright Supervisor to lead crews performing industrial equipment installation, maintenance, repair, and mechanical rebuilds at customer facilities throughout the Midwest. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and completing projects on schedule.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise field millwright crews and coordinate daily assignments for industrial installation, maintenance, shutdown, and repair projects.
  • Oversee installation, alignment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of conveyors, bucket elevators, dust collection systems, material handling equipment, furnaces, heavy machinery, and related industrial systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings while identifying field issues and developing practical solutions.
  • Coordinate with customers, project management, and field leadership to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • Train and mentor millwrights while maintaining productivity, workmanship, and compliance with safety procedures.
  • Complete daily reports and job documentation while supporting scheduled shutdowns, overtime, weekend work, and emergency repair projects as needed.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of industrial millwright or mechanical installation experience.
  • Previous experience leading field crews or supervising industrial projects.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to travel throughout the Midwest.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience with rigging, equipment moving, forklifts, aerial lifts, or telehandlers.
  • Experience in foundries or heavy manufacturing environments.
Physical & Travel Requirements:  
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work at heights, on ladders, and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying temperatures and industrial environments for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Midwest, including multi-day projects, scheduled shutdowns, occasional overnight stays, overtime, and weekend work.
Schedule:
  • This position works all shifts and times of the day when out in the field.  
  • Weekends and holidays are as needed.
Compensation:
  • $25.00 - $34.00 per hour, based on experience
