Job Summary:
This is short term Seasonal position at the Grand Canyon Railway in Williams, Arizona with a season of 11/03/2025 to 12/31/2025. Ticketing Agent is responsible for ensuring all daily functions are completed at the Ticket Counter. Duties include but not limited to: ensuring accurate batching of train tickets, confirming reservations, answering phones, issuing and explaining train tickets to passengers.

Responsibilities
  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Daily batching: printing tickets, verifying special requests, processing collection required reservations.
  • Ability to learn and maintain knowledge about the Grand Canyon Railway and Grand Canyon National Park
  • Greets walk-up guests and make new reservations.
  • Professionally communicate with all guests about the daily operation and schedule of the train.
  • Answering phones and professionally taking phone reservations.
  • Provide information and offer additional services to guests to enhance their stay.
  • Follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to all prescribed Environmental Management Systems (EMS) policies and corporate commitments to maintain ISO 14001 goals and guidelines; reduce, reuse, and recycle program.
  • Maintains organization and flexibility in carrying out daily job duties.
  • Effectively handles stressful situations in a public setting and professionally resolves guest-related problems.
  • Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with co-workers, directors, and other departments, working together in a positive work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • 1 year of cashier experience.
  • 1 year of computer experience
  • Bi-lingual (English/other) language skills are a plus.
  • Two years of customer service experience in the hospitality industry, is a plus.
  • Experience with hotel-based reservation systems, is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:
  • Constantly standing, handling and lifting/carrying items up to 20bs.
  • Frequently walking, reaching outward, squatting/kneeling, bending and pushing/pulling items up to 25lbs.
  • Occasionally sitting, reaching above shoulder, climbing, and crawling, lifting/carrying items weighing up to 100lbs and pushing/pulling items weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Constantly listening, hearing, seeing, and speaking.
  • Will be required to stand and walk for long periods of time on cement floors and to occasionally walk on uneven surfaces.
