We are a full-service distributor of Generac equipment and solutions providing sales, service and rentals.


We're looking for a proven sales leader to join us as Director, Regional Sales - Industrial Distribution. In this role, you'll lead a team of high-performing sales professionals, drive growth across your territory, and build lasting relationships with our distribution partners and customers. What You'll Do

  • Lead and inspire a regional sales team, providing coaching, training, and clear performance expectations

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that deliver consistent revenue growth

  • Set quarterly and annual targets, forecast performance, and ensure your team hits their numbers

  • Join your team on key customer calls, helping advance opportunities and close deals

  • Build strong customer and distributor relationships that drive satisfaction and loyalty

  • Track market trends, analyze competitors, and identify new opportunities for expansion

  • Partner across departments to align strategy and deliver seamless customer experiences

  • Manage budgets, oversee deal execution, and ensure CRM tools are used effectively

  • Travel within your region to stay close to your team and customers (frequent travel required)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 7+ years in sales leadership

  • 10+ years of direct selling experience

  • Strong track record of delivering revenue growth and achieving ambitious goals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a business-related field

  • Experience working with distribution channels and end-user customers

  • Proven success in expanding client bases and building long-term partnerships

Technical Expertise

  • Deep understanding of sales strategy, performance management, and team motivation

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills

  • Strong business acumen with hands-on execution ability

  • Proficiency with CRM systems and enterprise tools (SAP, FieldServio a plus)

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Compensation: Energy Systems is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The range that applies to this role is $150,000 - $300,000 USD in compensation. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionallylift upto 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
