Start Date: ASAP
Location: Lakeville, CT
Compensation: $30–35/hour
Schedule: Monday 9:00 AM–4:00 PM (dedicated cleaning day); Tuesday–Thursday 7:00–9:00 AM & 3:00–6:00 PM; Friday 3:00–6:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 25 hours/week

Overview / About the Family

A family in Lakeville, CT is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented live-in Housekeeper/House Manager to keep their 4,000-square-foot home running smoothly and support the daily rhythm of a busy household. This is primarily a home-focused role — one full day each week is dedicated to a thorough cleaning of the home, with lighter daily upkeep throughout the week — paired with warm, attentive care for the family's three school-age children (ages 10, 8, and 8). The family is looking for someone who takes initiative, anticipates what the household needs, and is excited to become a lasting, trusted part of their lives. Given the rural setting, on-site housing (a separate rental property) and a vehicle are provided.

Benefits: Separate rental property provided for live-in accommodation, vehicle provided for childcare transportation and errands, placement on the family's payroll (W-2 employment), long-term and stable position with the opportunity to become a valued member of the household

Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain the entire 4,000 sq ft home, with one full day per week dedicated to deep cleaning
  • Handle daily kitchen tidying, wipe-downs, and general household upkeep
  • Manage and coordinate household logistics, including the children's schedules
  • Run household errands and drive the children to activities and appointments
  • Provide attentive, nurturing care for three school-age children (ages 10, 8, and 8)
  • Prepare simple, kid-friendly meals (e.g., chicken nuggets, mac and cheese)
  • Provide occasional overnight care (approximately twice per month) when the parents travel

Requirements

  • Prior professional experience in housekeeping and childcare
  • Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal direction
  • Warm, loving, and flexible, and happy working with school-age children
  • Valid driver's license
  • Able to provide 3–5 professional references
