Job description

Dairy West | Salary Range: $63,035–$100,856

This is a full-time, hybrid position with in-office work on Tuesdays and Thursdays at one of Dairy West’s offices in Lynnwood, WA; Meridian, ID; Draper, UT; or Tigard, OR.

Some brands show up on social. We’re looking for someone who knows how to make people stop, watch, share and join the conversation.

Dairy West is looking for a Social Media Content Creator who can take an idea from spark to screen—concepting, capturing, editing, publishing and learning from what happens next. This is a highly hands-on role for someone who understands social culture, knows what makes content feel native to the platform, and can turn everyday stories into content people genuinely want to engage with.

You might spend one day capturing a farmer story, another creating a short-form video inspired by an emerging trend, and the next finding a fresh way to make dairy relevant to something people are already talking about.

If you’re the kind of creator who notices what’s gaining traction before it lands in the marketing meeting, we’d love to see your work.

What You’ll Do

You’ll help shape how Dairy West shows up across social channels and in the conversations that matter to our audiences.

In this role, you will:

  • Concept, capture, produce, edit and publish platform-native content, with a strong emphasis on short-form video.
  • Turn trends, cultural moments, audience behaviors and everyday dairy stories into timely, relevant content.
  • Bring a steady stream of creative ideas based on what people are actually watching, sharing and talking about.
  • Manage day-to-day social publishing, editorial calendars, content workflows and community engagement.
  • Participate in social conversations and identify opportunities for proactive and reactive content.
  • Partner with teams across Dairy West to turn subject-matter expertise, farmer stories, innovation and organizational priorities into compelling social storytelling.
  • Support live events, real-time publishing and on-site social content when opportunities arise.
  • Track performance, audience behavior and emerging trends, then use what you learn to make the next piece of content better.
  • Collaborate with agencies, creators and production partners when additional expertise or capacity is needed.

And sometimes, when the moment is right, you’ll need to move from “We should do something with this” to published content in hours or days—not weeks.

What We’re Looking For

You know social because you make social.

You understand the difference between content that technically fits on a platform and content that actually feels like it belongs there. You’re equally comfortable behind a camera, inside an editing timeline, writing a caption and looking at performance data to understand what worked.

You’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing or a related field.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong social-first creative work.
  • Experience creating content and managing social channels for consumer-facing brands or organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and evolving social platforms.
  • Proficiency with mobile and desktop creation and editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Canva or similar platforms.
  • Skills across video editing, photography, copywriting and creative direction.
  • The ability to balance strong creative instincts with audience insights and performance data.
  • Strong project management, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Comfort working quickly when opportunities arise while maintaining a high standard for quality.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is curious—about people, culture, platforms, storytelling and what makes an audience care.

Why Dairy West?

Our work starts with dairy farmers and reaches far beyond the farm.

At Dairy West, you’ll have the opportunity to tell stories about food, people, nutrition, innovation and agriculture—and find creative ways to make those stories meaningful in people’s everyday lives.

You’ll work with colleagues across Nutrition Partnerships, Business Development, Research & Innovation, Industry Relations and Marketing, while having meaningful ownership over the content you create.

We value Trust, Action and Stewardship, and we take seriously our responsibility to use farmer investment wisely while doing work that is creative, relevant and effective.

Occasional travel of up to 25% and some event coverage outside regular business hours are part of the role.

Show Us What You’ve Made

A portfolio or work samples are required. Applications submitted without examples of your work will not be reviewed.

Include work that helps us understand how you think and create. We’re especially interested in examples of social-first storytelling and short-form video.
