Job description

About Owner
Owner is the AI-native system local business owners use to succeed, starting with restaurants.
We're building the system that replaces the many tools owners use to run their business.
It powers everything from the restaurant's website, online ordering, CRM, POS, and more.
Product philosophy
Most small business software makes owners do the work to get what they want: sales growth and profit growth. Owner does the work for them agentically.
Our system drives demand, converts it, and helps operators run their business day to day. As it improves, the business improves with it.
Using Owner should feel like having a team of great operators, engineers, and marketers working for you.
Our vision
We're starting by helping independent restaurants succeed online.
But it's not just restaurants that need our help. Most local businesses are struggling with these same problems. Huge technology corporations are taking their customers, bleeding their profits, and making it hard for them to survive.
Once we nail the solution for restaurants - we'll scale it into every other local business type.
In the future we envision, tens of millions of local business owners will use our technology to succeed in the digital age.

Our traction
Since 2020, we've generated tens of millions in revenue and processed over a billion dollars of online orders. 1 in 5 Americans have used an Owner.com website.
More importantly, we've helped over 20,000 restaurant owners, and saved them nearly $200 million in fees.
Our team
Our team is now in the low hundreds. We've got top talent from the most successful companies in SMB software, including: Shopify, HubSpot, DoorDash, ServiceTitan, Rappi, Faire and Stripe.
We'll be scaling even faster in 2026 to keep pace with our customer growth.
Where we work
Owner is a remote-first, global company headquartered in San Francisco, with a sales hub in Toronto. For a few of our roles we prioritize in-person collaboration at one of our office locations. Most of our teammates are distributed throughout the globe. Please review the role description and discuss with your recruiter for more details on location!
Why we're looking for you
Media has been an unfair advantage for Owner as we've scaled to over a billion dollar valuation. Our YouTube and Instagram channels are category leaders. We've become the #1 voice in restaurant growth. We have attracted customers, investors, and world-class talent using media. Our channels regularly get over 3 million organic impressions per month, and we're looking to double down on this momentum by building a dedicated Media team. It will make media an even bigger advantage for attracting customers and talent.
The Short Form Content Manager is one of our early hires for this team. The person in this role will lead strategy and output across Owner.com's Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and emerging shorts platforms. This content will help hundreds of thousands of small business owners around the world and also attract more ambitious builders to help with this mission.
With our Instagram has grown exponentially from 0 → 80k followers in the last year, short form content has evolved to a core piece to our media strategy. Our short form content will not only live on a standalone set of channels that gains the highest amount of impressions from new audiences, it represents a high volume testing ground for all of our other long form and even paid content.
You'll be the connective tissue between creative inspiration and world class output, helping lead a media engine that drives reach, brand affinity, and a movement that helps business owners around the world as Owner.com becomes a generational company.
This role is based in San Francisco, California.
The impact you will have
  • Lead the short-form content strategy and oversee execution across all key platforms.
  • Pioneer and scale new formats and production capacity across written, graphic, and video posts on shorts platforms
  • Hire, manage, and develop pods of producers, editors, and strategists for each platform to scale high-quality output at a high volume.
  • Maintain a high culture of experimentation and performance to keep our content standards extremely high.
  • Gather and use data to inform creative direction, test formats, and iterate quickly.
  • Help shape how millions experience Owner's brand and Adam Guild's voice online.

Who you'll work with
  • Report directly to Chief of Staff to the CEO and VP of Media
  • Partner closely with CEO, VP of Marketing, Director of Content Marketing, and cross-functional leaders across Product, Marketing, and People Teams for productions
  • You'll collaborate closely with our Media Team on cross-pollinating platform best practices

What we're looking for
  • Proven experience growing short-form content across multiple platforms
  • Exceptional design eye for graphics and typography
  • Strong editing and motion-graphics skills (Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects , etc).
  • Deep understanding of platform best practices and native storytelling formats.
  • Comfort balancing creative instincts with performance data.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and bias for clear systems and documentation.
  • Curiosity around AI-driven tools, automation, and new media workflows
  • Spreadsheet or analytics fluency to track and visualize performance.
