Responsibilities 

Margaritaville at Sea is seeking an experienced Shore Excursions Manager to oversee the planning, delivery, and performance of shore excursion programs across the fleet. This role serves as the key link between corporate teams and shipboard staff, ensuring high-quality guest experiences, strong revenue performance, and adherence to brand and safety standards. 

The ideal candidate will manage vendor relationships, optimize excursion offerings, drive sales, and ensure seamless operations in all ports of call. This position plays a vital role in enhancing guest satisfaction through memorable, well-executed destination experiences. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Program Oversight: Own the planning, execution, and overall performance of shore excursion programs across the fleet, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with organizational goals. 

  • Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, local vendors, and port partners to secure high-quality, reliable, and competitive excursion offerings. 

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all shore excursions meet company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and brand expectations, minimizing risk while maintaining exceptional experiences. 

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue performance through strategic pricing, product development, and collaboration with onboard teams to maximize sales opportunities. 

  • Guest Experience: Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction scores, identifying opportunities to enhance excursion quality and deliver memorable destination experiences. 

  • Operational Excellence: Coordinate logistics and execution in each port of call, ensuring smooth operations, timely departures, and seamless guest experiences. 

  • Team Leadership: Train, support, and guide shipboard shore excursions teams to consistently deliver high levels of service and achieve sales and performance targets. 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, operations, and guest services teams to enhance offerings, promote excursions, and ensure alignment across departments. 

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze key metrics and financial performance to identify trends, improve profitability, and implement continuous improvements. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Poven success managing guest programs and delivering high-quality experiences 

  • Experience developing and maintaining vendor and partner relationships 

  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue performance and meet financial targets 

  • Previous shipboard experience preferred 

  • Experience managing multi-site or fleet-level operations is a plus 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Strong understanding of shore excursion operations and destination logistics 

  • Ability to drive revenue through pricing, product development, and sales strategies 

  • Skilled in vendor negotiation, contract management, and relationship building 

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop diverse teams 

  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment 

  • Proficiency in analyzing performance data and identifying improvement opportunities

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. 

Travel:25% 

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

This position is classified as “in-person,” which means the physical office in Orlando.
