About the team

As a part of the Connect Design team, you'll lead product development for the largest complex users on Stripe-marketplaces such as Doordash and Lyft, and platforms such as Shopify and Woo. You'll drive the vision for how these marketplaces and platforms manage risk and compliance for their business and their users in the US and internationally. You'll work with other designers on the team to define the future of the experience for all Connect users on the dashboard.

In this role, you'll be responsible for deeply understanding our users and product strategy to design and advocate for the highest quality product experience.

What you'll do

As a part of the Connect Design team, you'll lead product development for Stripe's largest complex users Marketplaces such as Doordash and Lyft, and Platforms such as Shopify and Woo. You'll drive the vision for how these marketplaces and platforms manage risk and compliance for their business and their users in the US and internationally. You'll work with other designers on the team to define the future of the experience for all Connect users on the dashboard. 

You'll utilize a broad set of product design skills including user interface design, user experience and interaction design, and prototyping. In this role, you will be responsible for deeply understanding our users and product strategy to design and advocate for the highest quality product experience.

Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end product design process from discovery through delivery
  • Ship meaningful, high-quality experiences that balance business needs with usability
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to shape the team's roadmap and goals from an impactful and measurable customer outcomes perspective
  • Leverage insights from our UXR team to identify opportunity areas, and to validate potential solutions to pain points
  • Partner with content design to craft compelling experiences that deliver the right information at the right time to the right user
  • Work closely with other product designers to drive holistic solutions for our marketplaces and platforms and their users 
Who you are

Minimum requirements
  • Has 6+ years relevant design experience at a tech, product-driven company
  • Has experience working in a complex problem space such as B2B or SaaS interfaces
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strong design fundamentals and polished UI craft
  • Experience partnering closely with cross-functional teams to shape product direction and proven ability to influence teams
  • Ability to balance user needs, business goals, and multiple stakeholder inputs
  • Experience working horizontally across product areas on ambiguous and complex problems 
  • Confident presenting work to company leadership and skilled at communicating design decisions through a clear and compelling story
