Job Description Summary

Sunbelt Rentals-the fastestgrowing equipment rental company in North America-is seeking a Shop Foreman. In this role, you will supervise technicians performing repair and maintenance on rental equipment and help ensure efficient, highquality service operations. You will also play a key role in training, workflow coordination, and maintaining Sunbelt's high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train, mentor, and support service technicians on equipment repair and safety best practices

  • Inspect completed repairs to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality

  • Drive continuous improvement by reducing turnaround times and streamlining processes

  • Collaborate across departments to provide exceptional customer service

  • Direct the daily activities of service technicians and yard staff

  • Schedule equipment service and maintenance in the shop and at customer sites

  • Coordinate responses to breakdowns with road technicians

  • Monitor equipment repairs and ensure costs are assigned to the correct customer, supplier, or profit center

  • Assist the Profit Center Manager with training, workload planning, and conflict resolution

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Red Seal (Heavy Duty) prefered

  • Valid driver's license

  • Previous supervisory experience

  • 5+ years mechanical experience in the rental industry or a related field

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Solid knowledge of tools, materials, and methods used to repair rental equipment

  • Strong safety record

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50+ lbs

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors as needed

Base Pay Range

40.26 - 55.36
