Overview:

Cripe has an opening for an Architect with experience in the Commercial/Retail industry. Key responsibilities include design and client interaction throughout all phases from preliminary design through post-occupancy, planning and design, design team interaction, client and consultant coordination, scope, and schedule compliance. Applicants should have a general understanding of commercial/retail design requirements, codes, standards, and current trends as it complements a project team of designers and outside consultants toward a deliverable product consistent with the highest level of industry standards. This position works with a cross-discipline project team of designers and outside consultants toward a deliverable product consistent with the highest level of industry standards as well as the Cripe internal Quality Control system.

Essential Responsibilities / Tasks:

Design / production work as assigned by and overseen by Project Manager such as:

  • Preliminary design responsibilities based on client provided information
  • Production drafting of Plans/Construction Documents
  • Field verification of existing conditions will require work outside of the office.
  • Coordinates projects in accordance with Cripe Way
  • Various construction administration tasks as required
  • Contractor shop drawing review for conformance to construction documents
