We are seeking a Shop Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our service team. In this role, you will work primarily in a shop environment performing diagnostics, maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on Caterpillar® and other heavy equipment. You will help keep machinery running safely and reliably — supporting both Quinn customers and internal teams.

Requirements:

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and reconditioning on heavy equipment, engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

Disassemble and assemble machines and components to manufacture standards, from minor service to major overhaul.

Inspect incoming equipment and perform preventive maintenance and predelivery checks.

Use specialized tools and diagnostic software to complete quality repairs.

Perform preventive maintenance and emergency services to minimize downtime for customers.

Maintain accurate service records, repair orders, and inspection documentation.

Communicate professionally with customers and service teams about equipment issues and repair plans.

Follow all safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.

Continually developing skills through training and handson experience.

Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure timely quality repairs and customer satisfaction.

May assist with machine evaluations, equipment testing, and fabrication tasks depending on shop needs.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools such as Cat Electronic Technician (ET) and mechanical test equipment.

Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently.
