Description:

Position Description Owns shop cleanliness & part runs. Assists in stocking inventory items.  Accountabilities 

  • PARTS RUNS (40%) 
  • Pickup parts from local vendors in a timely and safe manner. 
  • Follow instructions of Diesel Techs on desired vendor and parts. 
  • Maintain fuel and cleanliness of company vehicle. 
  • SHOP & OFFICE CLEANING (35%) 
  • Sweep/clean floors and surfaces throughout entire building. 
  • Maintain and run floor scrubber, along with maintenance of replaceable parts. 
  • Clean open bays when made available and along floor spaces, under cabinetry.  
  • Sanitize frequently touched surfaces. 
  • MAINTAIN SUPPORT SYSTEMS (15%) 
  • Maintain and change furnace filters 
  • Fill oil dry & relocate oil/fluids to proper disposal containers 
  • Plug items in for charging and organizes tools 
  • REMOVE WASTE/STEEL/RECYCLING (5%)  
  • Weekly and biweekly removal of waste via pallet jack, forklift or 2-wheel cart to designated locations. 
  • INVENTORY PUTAWAYS (5%)  
  • Assist Inventory Coordinator with part distribution and stocking.

 Required Competencies 

  • Reliable attendance and openness to learn. 
  • Interest in working in a shop environment. 
  • Clean driving record. 
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and walk 10,000 steps per day on a regular basis. 
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & willingness to be enrolled into a random testing program
