Peterson Cartridge Company has an opening for a production line operator. You will be working in a clean, well-lit factory located in Cranberry Township, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. We produce match-grade, precision rifle casings to the highest quality standards for competitive shooting, hunting, and military use. We are looking to hire a production worker to run our state-of-the-art, lean manufacturing equipment. Great benefits, friendly and collaborative co-workers, 80 hours vacation, and 48 personal hours. A background with Manufacturing, Quality Control, calipers, micrometers, optics is a huge plus!

Schedule: Non-rotating Monday through Friday 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm (arrival time is 2:45 pm to allow 15 minutes for shift changeover)

Salary: $22-25.75/hour (this includes the $1.00/hour shift differential)

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

  • Production line operation, making precision rifle casings
  • Adhering to safety and environmental rules
  • Drawing metal into shapes and diameters
  • Reading and interpreting plant procedures and work instructions
  • Performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
  • Performing general housekeeping
  • Feeding and / or placing raw material into equipment for processing
  • Handling materials, and cargo
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs repetitively, including over your head up to 6' 7" high
  • Measuring dimensions of work-in-process and finished goods
  • Ensuring conformance to specifications

Required Experience / Skills:

  • 1 year Manufacturing experience
  • No conviction record, PFA order against them, or anything else that would prevent them from purchasing or owning a firearm
  • Able to pass a background check & drug test (including marijuana per federal regulations)
  • High attention-to-detail; high conscientiousness

Helpful Skills: HVAC, Electrician, Plumber, Auto Mechanic, Carpenter, Construction, Machinist, Welder, any other highly mechanical background.
