Job description

The Sporting Clay Instructor is responsible for providing high quality, positive and safe shooting experiences for all participates. Greets and instructs guests on clay shooting and safely operate firearms.

Clay shooting instructor provides personalized coaching on techniques--such as stance, gun mount and target tracking, while enforcing strict safety protocols. Manages range equipment (clay throwers), lead private or group lessons for beginners to advanced shooters, and ensure a safe, engaging experience. Operating, cleaning and restocking clay target throwers and maintaining the shooting course. A comprehensive inventory would be required to be kept.

Assist guests in providing requested information and services; performs related work as required. 

Working conditions are typical to those found in a summer mountain environment, working outdoors, exposed to the weather. 

Experience: driven, independent, self motivated. Experience with instructing outdoor activities. Experience with customer service. 

Greeting guest, conducting safety briefings, waivers and delivering a welcoming experience. Inspecting guns to ensure proper conditions. Ability to instruct diverse audiences. Ability to stand for long periods, work outdoors and lift a minimum of 40 lbs. Deep understanding of firearm safety.

Hours of Operation: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Position would be seasonal, with hours working weekends  (Thursday thru Sunday). Holidays required.
