Job description

We are seeking experienced Pipefitters to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing piping systems in industrial, commercial, marine, or manufacturing environments. Candidates must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications while maintaining quality workmanship and following all safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and work specifications.
  • Measure, cut, thread, bevel, and prepare pipe for installation.
  • Fabricate and assemble piping systems according to project requirements.
  • Install, align, and secure piping, valves, fittings, and supports.
  • Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper nickel, PVC, HDPE, and other piping materials.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, cutting torches, grinders, and pipefitting equipment.
  • Perform layout work and verify measurements for proper installation.
  • Conduct pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and system inspections as required.
  • Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and project personnel to complete work safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Follow all company, client, and OSHA safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience preferred.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, manufacturing, refinery, power plant, shipyard, or marine environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Experience using pipefitting tools and equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings if required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with pipe fabrication and installation.
  • Experience working from isometric drawings and P&IDs.
  • Knowledge of valves, pumps, flanges, and mechanical systems.
  • Tack welding experience is a plus.
  • Experience with hydro testing and system commissioning.
  • Forklift, aerial lift, or rigging experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in physically demanding environments.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated locations, and varying weather conditions when required.
